James’s favorite “Pickup Guru” on Approach Anxiety
Who would be the hardest man on the planet for a woman to “blow out”? By that I mean to reject a person who comes up and attempts to start a cold conversation.
I reckon the Crocodile Hunter. Yes, I am serious. Try to imagine politely getting rid of a guy with that much energy and enthusiasm.
Now consider 90% of guys I coach cannot consistently manage and elevate their energy levels. They will not be successful at starting conversations with women, much less seducing them, until they can manage their energy or state.
Energy is the most important factor in making powerful, confident first impressions. Steve Irwin helps so many of my students.
I studied acting. It helped me grow as a man in many ways, especially in socializing and improving my confidence with the ladies. As an exercise I encourage my students to visualize and feel Steve Irwin’s freakish energy and passion within themselves before approaching a woman. Just the same way an actor would prepare for a scene. This helps produce stronger approaches; a far more confident and energetic ladies man.
My students, like me, are often hard core analytical creatures. Getting them way out of left brain thinking and bringing energy levels up is essential to their success with women.
If my students run into approach anxiety, feel down or I need to lift my energy rapidly to go out and lead yet another bootcamp in a noisy, crowded bar, I often turn to Steve. No girl has ever rejected James when his “Inner Steve” is switched on.
Steve Irwin’s incredible energy came because had just one purpose on this earth, to be what he called a “Wildlife Warrior”. He did not waste his precious time and energy thinking about much else in life, apart from his family. He spent time deep in nature. His energy was not constantly depleted by living in a city surrounded by roads, TV’s, advertising, sterile buildings and toxic people. I believe his remarkable energy came exclusively from his absolute focus in life and from Mother Nature.
I’ve heard stories of Steve Irwin completely taking over a room filled with the most famous celebrities on Planet Earth. These A-Listers themselves volunteered they are usually the centre of attention but with him in the room it was like no one knew they existed.
I once saw Steve Irwin interviewed on a talk show. In the green room sat actress Jennifer Love Hewitt. The host asked him ‘so Steve what did you think of Jennifer?’. Steve’s face lit up and he let out an enthusiastic “ohh she’s beauu-tiful” that came straight from his soul. The screen switched to her.
Her face erupted. She smiled and blushed. She could not speak. She struggled to breathe. Her heart stopped. She almost choked with joy. Tears instantly filled her eyes.
I have never seen a woman so ecstatic, so flattered and feminine. No one had ever complimented her like that. This sits alongside a Michael Jordan baseline dunk on Patrick Ewing as the most remarkable moment of television I can presently recall.
So the next time you are at a bar stuck in your head or feeling too low on energy to start conversations, find a beautiful girl you would like to meet. Look at her, appreciate her beauty for five seconds and repeat to yourself “Crii-cky, she’s a beauu-ty!”.
Ask yourself what sort of energy, enthusiasm and commitment Steve Irwin would bring to starting a conversation with this strange woman. Then walk over and shake her hand. Politely introduce yourself by name, smile and hold her eye contact that moment too long.
If you can truly find your “Inner Steve” women will have a far more difficult task to “blow you out”.
And best of all, girls will mistake your new found energy for the single most attractive quality a man can possess.
Confidence.
jamie taught me “the steve irwin technique” during our bootcamp, and it elegantly illustrates so many of Jamie’s core lessons about attracting women…energy, enthusiasm, authenticity, warmth. what is important to understand about jamie is that he wasn’t a natural with women when he was younger and like so many smart, succesful guys, he has a very analytical mind. for this precise reason, he is a great guru for smart, succesful men who too often get trapped in their heads. It is said that all humans have buddha nature; likewise, i think we all have an inner Steve Irwin–absent the alligator wrestling. Letting that Steve Irwin nature shine is a beautiful technique to get out of our heads and radiate warmth and energy to everyone around us, including beautiful women.
Pray elucidate your list further.
James has more energy than anyone I’ve ever met.
He is the proverbial energizer bunny.
I applaud Sebastian’s articulate summary of the energy lessons taught during an advanced boot camp. I’ve has occasion to sit in on a few sessions. James’ energy exercises produce amazing changes in the success of student approaches.
I have been witness to James in full seduction mode; acquiring the company of a second female companion for both our social and bedroom play. This time I was present at the initial meeting, first date and finally a second date which culminated in a most wonderful experience (details of which I shan’t share here as I wish to honor the special nature of the event and privacy of the individual involved).
Seeing James ‘in action’, got me thinking about the most important elements of seduction. I came up with the top ten reasons James is so successful seducing beautiful and intelligent women.
Energy was number two.
Great article James!
As I am one of the hardcore analytical types I need to remind myself often about keeping energy up and getting into my right brain, and being Steve is one of the best ways to do it. No fancy ‘opener’, just lots of positive energy and it always amazes me how warm and excitedly women react to that. From there it flows effortlessly.
Brilliant follow up Sebastian, you write like a superstar!
Wow!!… I really love this article it’s simple yet pinpointed and solved most of the problems guys might encounter when meeting women in bars or anywhere. We all have days where we decide it’s too hard or we’re too lazy to do any approaches. But could you imagine Steve Irwin sulking over his beer at the bar because it’s too loud or he’s too tired to meet that “beauu-tiful” girl in the corner. I can just imagine Jennifer love hewitt gasping for air and weak at the knees truly inspiring! if your coming from a place of such genuiness and passion women can’t help but lust after you.
‘Look at her, appreciate her beauty for five seconds and repeat to yourself “Crii-cky, she’s a beauu-ty!”.
Then walk over and shake her hand. Politely introduce yourself by name, smile and hold her eye contact that moment too long. ”
Brilliant! a couple of sentences summing up the basis for a flawless approach!
Yes. I think you’re right. You’ve put into words something I’ve been thinking about in terms of why I was successful at a specific function I went to.
I agree completely with the notions expounded in this article. Below are my additional thoughts.
I would say that a strange girl’s first impression of a man is shaped by how much congruent energy he emanates. The more pure and powerful that man’s energy is, the greater the initial fascination of the girl. A person’s vitality (energy) is constituted by a number of synergistic elements, a lot of which I learned from James during his special “Weekend” (the Bootcamp plus). The key components are diet (vegetables, purity, organic), air (clean, as from the ocean), water (lubrication of the body), exercise (especially in nature -endorphins and fitness which equal raw vitality), and yoga (suppleness, mindfulness). James explained how he manages each of these in his life to attain levels of energy far beyond what most alcohol-drinking, caffeine-dependent, refined-carbs-munching, stagnant, stupefied industrial society drones could imagine. More abstract elements such as a positive peer group and good family relationships also contribute greatly to ones energy. One should also ideally have a focus in life, an unwavering determination and purpose, something which doesn’t produce energy in itself but which brings a consistency and an underlying gravitas which, perhaps, justify the effort expended in maintaining all of the above: for a grand mobilization of corporeal resources toward a clear commitment or commitments represents the rapturous and beatific “ne plus ultra” of human potential. This is the article’s point. Steve Irwin’s colossal energy is a product of his being telic.
