You Don’t Care About Her Purse!
Run for your lives! Wayne is attacking the camera!
Ha Ha, but seriously though. We were reading the Forum the other day like we do, and we came across one post that drove Wayne nuts! He screamed and shouted and then popped a cough suppressant, then he threw the laptop out the window. It was fun so we decided to video tape it once Wayne calmed down. Click on the video player below to see Wayne jump on the camera and Rob’s poor acting skills.
Ha. Awesome podcast, but feel a bit sorry for Charmer as I probably would have done something similar….except with Juggler’s gottee.
Wyane:
Why not tell her why you like her purse and link it to her?
Me: Hi, I like you your purse,
Me: Your purse tells me a lot about what kind of person you are.
Me: They call it “Purse-onality”
Her: (Laughs)
Her: OK, What does my purse tell you about me?
Me: I like the stripes they go against your un-patterned clothing.
Me: Are you some kind of rebelious artist, What kind of art do you do?
etc etc. etc questions about where she is from, where she works. Told her some stories. Got her laughing. And her vibe warmed up.
At the end of the convo, as she was leaving (I fumbled logistics!), she said “what did you like about my purse?”
So, it seems that she didn’t completely accept the purse opener. But, she was she was OK with my blatant attempt to pick up, and we both enjoyed the flirting. It was a fun convo.
btw,
can’t a purse be a “floppsy”?
If it’s brightly colored, or special in some way, why not make it a floppsy?
This just drives home the point of time constraints when opening… I keep seeing what mystery discovered everwhere, even if wayne doesn’t realize it he added atime constraint “I’d like to get to know what your about… for two minutes.” etc, which shows you aren’t needy and pining for her like someone without a clue (social status).
Personally I think wayne and mystery should mind meld, they would become godly.
The thing about analyzing and breaking down social interactions is to know where you went wrong, and mystery has that down pat.
In fact all charsiam arts is, is analysis of social interaction and expressing it in “normal language”, even though we’re secretly still being mad scientists analysing social interaction… so john (the other person who posted recently on the blog/frontpage) is wrong… we observing is an act of analyzing whether we like it or not and we can’t stop it… else we couldn’t go anywhere (try driving without being able to SEE and ANALYZE your environment.. drive blindfolded, I dare ya!).
Hey Bert, one thing to keep in mind: no one at CA has anything against time constraints. I just don’t think they have to be “false.” On the other hand, no one has been doing the Juggler/Mystery comparison for a few months so it’s cool to see that happen again.
just never open with a compliment, thats the dumbest thing ever.
